8 MP Camera Android Smartphones for low light environment – Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Xperia RAY and Xperia NEO

As a DeeJay working at Discotheque, my cousin was looking for affordable Android Smartphone that is suitable for shooting picture/video under low light condition. 12 MP Camera Nokia N8 was initially pretty good choice, but it runs under Symbian OS which lacks innovative mobile applications. I gave him other options: Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Sony Xperia RAY, Sony Ericsson Xperia NEO, Samsung i9100 Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation Z710E, LG P990 Optimus 2X. Samsung, HTC and LG models excels with their dual core power, which Sony Ericsson lacks. Among these dual core options, I favor Samsung i9100 Galaxy S II on their complete specification and excellent camera/video performance.

But for comparison on camera/video performance under specific condition (low light environment), nothing can beat Sony Ericsson. XPERIA RAY is one of the handsomest phones I have seen. It is impressively thin (at 9.4mm thickness) and got all the exciting ingredients of the Xperia arc. The sharp BRAVIA engine display is with 3.3″ 16M-color capacitive LED-backlit LCD touchscreen of FWVGA resolution (480 x 854 pixels). The BRAVIA engine unit has the impressive pixel density of 300ppi. The 8 MP autofocus camera (LED light, geotagging) packs an Exmor R sensor, which boasts improved low-light performance, and complete with 720p video recording @ 30fps with continuous autofocus. The ray is powered by the 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM and Adreno 205 graphics.
