Beginner’s Way to Increase Your Website Traffic

There are many strategies for building traffics to your website. Here are my Top 10 techniques for traffic building:

1. Email Marketing
Establish an email newsletter to keep new or past customers informed about your business (current specials or new products) or something great about your niche (whitepaper). This is usually done at a fraction of the cost of normal advertising such as pamphlets or media advertisements.

2. Community Forums
Join community forum related to your business niche. Establish a signature link that points to your site. Then start posting/commenting actively in that discussion forum.

3. Submit Articles
Write quality articles that are related to your blog and submit them to popular article directories such as Articlealley.com, Isnare.com, ezinearticles.com, and goarticle.com. Short, helpful quality articles that help solve problems may attract a lot of free targeted traffic.

4. Blogs Commenting
Look for large traffic Blogs in your niche. Leave your comments on their blogs posts and link back to your site. You may use blog search engine like www.google.com, www.blogsearchengine.com, and www.searchengineblog.com to find blogs in your niche.

5. Directories Submission
Submit your site to the hundreds of free directories. If you have a blog, submit your blog to a blog directory. Also, submit your RSS feed to RSS feed directories.

6. Social Bookmarking
Post links to your pages to the large social bookmarking sites like Digg.com, Propeller.com, Reddit.com, Del.icio.us, Stumbleupon.com, Technorati.com, Mixx.com, and many more. Have a link to your site on community sites like MySpace and FaceBook. Create pages with links to your site on places like Squidoo and Hubpages.

7. On-page Optimization
Optimize the titles of your pages for keywords people will search for. Make sure your blog’s title tag and description tag contain your targeted keywords.

8. Video Sharing
Submit sensational videos to video sharing sites like YouTube and Metacafe.

9. Classified Ads
Place classified Ads on eBay/Free Classified Sites with a link to your website. craigslist.org, classifieds.myspace.com, usfreeads.com, InetGiant.com are good starting point.

10. Link Exchanges
Exchange links with a few related sites in your niche.
