Online Computer Backup Service – Cloud Storage

There are numerous backup and restore softwares on the market, ranging from freeware to enterprise level. For PC protection, Windows XP/Vista/7 comes with its own backup software, but many people have never found the Windows backup software to be very effective, so most people use a third-party backup software.

Traditionally, most people backup their personal data into flash drives, recordable CD/DVD, Zip drive, and other removable media drives (small amount of data) and backup their whole computer using third-party backup software into large hard drives, NAS or tapes. But, for large amount of data, your backup media won’t be accessible everywhere, especially when you are traveling overseas. In this case, you need online backup service on the internet, commonly known as cloud storage. Cloud storage gives you remote access to all your backed up files from any web browser or smart phone securely.

I come across a new online computer backup service – mypcbackup.com. With just $4.95 per Month, you get Unlimited Storage Space, Fast and Secure Automated Online Backup, Access Files Anywhere, Multiple Computers Support, File SyncFolder and File Versioning. It supports all Windows (XP, Vista, 7). You can easily customize backup schedule automatically, manage different backup sets, and even change backup speed. I like extra features, like File SyncFolder and File Versioning, which allows you to synchronize files between computers automatically and gives the ability to restore previous versions of a saved file. Mypcbackup is a powerful yet easy to use data protection and disaster recovery solution for a single computer or a peer-to-peer network. In the event of a hard drive crash, a system failure, or even simple human error, you can restore a single file or your whole hard drive with Mypcbackup peacefully. The only drawback is its slow performance, this is because you are saving your data across the internet pipe.
